A journey of 2,100 miles: Incoming student to arrive at BCM by bike

Have you been following Jared Rammell’s trip from Boise, Ida. to Baylor College of Medicine? Rammell, a student entering the inaugural class of BCM’s Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics Program has been biking from Boise to Houston to raise money for the Range of Motion Project, an organization that provides orthotic and prosthetic care to underserved individuals in Guatemala.

Rammell’s goal was $2,100 – a dollar per each mile on the road – and he’s surpassed that goal! Donations are still welcome.

After his long journey, Rammell will arrive in Houston this Sunday, and we’re planning to give him a warm welcome in front of BCM! Some members of the BCM community will even bike the last few miles of his trip with him.
